San Benito County Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC)

The Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) was established in 1989. ALUC’s purpose is to protect public health, safety, and welfare by ensuring the orderly expansion of airports and the adoption of land use measures that minimize the public’s exposure to excessive noise and safety hazards to the extent that these areas are not already devoted to incompatible uses. The Council of Governments (COG) Board of Directors serves as the San Benito County Airport Land Use Commission. The Commission duties are to review projects within the Hollister Municipal Airport and Frazier Lake Airpark’s Airport Influence Area in accordance with their respective Compatibility Plans.
